Mothers of Complex Children…
A new perspective
I am a mother of three, walking the path of motherhood with a complex child. My husband and I have been navigating a journey of healing for our middle son, who qualifies for a variety of diagnoses; PANS/PANDAS, Autism and Mitochondrial Dysfunction to name a few. Though these labels do not define him, they were a starting point of broader inquiry into life, health and wellbeing.
We have investigated various therapies, spent thousands of hours on research, employed numerous treatments, and have spent untold sums in an attempt to help him reach his full potential. It has taken years for me to realize that growth for a child begins with shifts in the parents, especially the mother. Our children are often a mirror for us, waiting for us to see that which needs to be healed within ourselves.
With this awareness, I am inspired to support other mothers in transforming their lives, knowing it will be the start of a beautiful journey for themselves, their child and family.
